Flight Training

Students who registered to Eskişehir Technical University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics Flight Training department are trained at the level of proficiency required to obtain commercial pilot license “CPL(A)” and Instrument Flight Certificate “IR(A)” enabling them to act as co-pilot on multi-pilot  multi-engine aircraft used in commercial air transport.

The department provides training to its students in accordance with the relevant legislation published by Turkish DGCA. In this context; in accordance with Flight Training Department Education-Training and Examination Regulation and ATO Manual, obligatory trainings in maximum 16-person classes with 100% attendance requirements are organized. Graduate Student completes the necessary training to get to an ATPL Pilot License.

Training process that our students willing to have a pilot license should follow, is defined by our faculty and at the beginning of the training, they are notified with an information meeting.

Student Admission and Training Process

Student Admission: Faculty admits students who demonstrate sufficient success in central placemet exam and meet the qualifications previously specified in the guide.

​Training: ​is arranged as theoretical knowledge trainings, simulator trainings and real flight trainings.

​Turkish DGCA: ​Student must attend and pass the exams conducted by Turkish DGCA within the lessons learned to have the corresponding pilot license.

​Control Flight: made under the control of Turkish DGCA in ESTU.

​License Application: Turkish DGCA is applied to with ​Flight control form, Student pilot licence (training license given to the student on first entry by Turkish DGCA), Current health certificate (given by Turkish DGCA), ID information, Criminal record, Logbook (Flight book) paperwork and transcript.
